All Them Witches are known for their loud and lengthy live shows. 2020 found the band releasing their critically acclaimed album, Nothing As The Ideal. An album release from this band would traditionally be followed by a lengthy 18-month tour across the globe. Due to an international pandemic, the band’s touring plans were brought to a halt. This did not stop All Them Witches from assembling in a studio to broadcast a live set for their fans. The set was roundly received as an amazing performance and fans immediately inquired as to whether or not this show would be available outside of the broadcast. New West Records is proud to present All Them Witches - LIVE ON THE INTERNET.

Burial

Antidawn EP

CD: $17.98 UNAVAILABLE

MP3 Album: $4.99 Download

'Antidawn' reduces Burial's music to just the vapours. The record explores an interzone between dislocated, patchwork songwriting and eerie, open-world game-space ambience. In the resulting no man's land, lyrics take precedence over song, lonely phrases colour the haze, a stark and fragmented structure makes time slow down. 'Antidawn' seems to tell a story of a wintertime city, and something beckoning you to follow it into the night. The result is both comforting and disturbing, producing a quiet and uncanny glow against the cold. Sometimes, as it enters 'a bad place', it takes your breath away. And time just stops.

Kaina

It Was A Home

ON SALE $14.97 CD: $11.99 Buy

KAINA creates generational music that surpasses borders, a unified expression of her native Chicago, and her Venezuelan and Guatemalan heritage. This cultural fusion is best illustrated on her 2019 debut full-length album Next To The Sun'a project that established her as a leader in a movement of artists whose work hinges on identity and representation. KAINA has continued to push this narrative through her brand of sweet-hearted optimism, which she uses to uplift and build community. Over the years, she has crafted a sound that is gentle, yet full of intent, and built a songwriting practice that explores love, legacy, and ancestry. She has also brought this on the road on national tours supporting artists like Sleater-Kinney (who make an appearance on It Was A Home), Cuco, Durand Jones, and so on. On It Was A Home, KAINA reflects on her modest upbringing, and the loss of sharing space with her family and friends in recent years, as COVID made it difficult to do so. She also deepens her storied lyricism with self reflection and self love, and how her upbringing allowed her to occupy that emotional space. This album finds her continuing to be a leader, not only in her community in Chicago, but to artists around the world honing in on their craft.
