His Blue Note debut, The Real McCoy, firmly established him as a creative force. Featuring a world class quartet with Joe Henderson (tenor sax), Ron Carter (bass) and Elvin Jones (drums), the album presented "Passion Dance," "Search for Peace," and "Blues on the Corner."
