One of the most popular and successful country & western singers of all time, for most of his near four-decade career, Marty Robbins regularly topped the country charts, achieving over 90 hits in all, and he often crossed over to achieve pop success too. Having released 5 albums and numerous singles during the 1950s, Marty Robbins continued his extraordinary output in the new decade, recording over 20 albums during the 1960s. Marty Robbins continued to record and to tour widely during the second half of the 1960s, and throughout the 1970s too. Remaining with Columbia for his entire career, Robbins enjoyed one of the most illustrious histories in the entire cannon of country music. He recorded more than 500 songs in all, many self-composed, and released over 60 albums. The star continued to perform up until his premature death from a heart attack in 1982, at the still young age of just 57. This 4 CD Box Set features, in their entirety, eight of Marty Robbins' greatest albums from his most successful and potent era, all remastered to the best available quality.
