In this horror thriller, a lieutenant in Napoleon's army (Nicholson), traces a mysterious girl to a castle on the Baltic Coast iin the 1800's, where he learns she is being used by a witch to cause the old baron to go insane. He then finds himself trapped by Karloff who has a fear of the unknown.
